TRAINING INFORMATION & HELPFUL TIPS
Here is a very helpful tip for developing good exercising habits, which emphasizes the power of being consistent. If a person did just 10 pushups a day, which doesn't seem like anything, by the end of 1 year they would have done 3,650 pushups! That is a lot of exercise over the course of a year! The benefits of a small amount of exercise done consistently are many fold: (1) As a person's muscle mass grows their metabolism increases causing them to burn more calories in a day just doing what they normally do. (2) Each time a person is able to consistently follow through and stick to an exercise regimen they strengthen their self-discipline which of course, helps them in their other endeavors and pursuits. (3) Setting goals and then being able to follow through and accomplish goals enhances our self-esteem and just generally makes one feel better about oneself. So the point is: small efforts made over a long period of time have a BIG EFFECT! Teaching our kids to set small goals and then following through to accomplish them sets up with a stronger foundation for succeeding in life.
